U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - FOS Novo Selo

Novo Selo Training Range was created in 1962 with the aim to host military training activities of the Bulgarian Army. Its area is 144 sq. km and it is located in the municipality of Sliven, 45 km away from Bezmer airbase and 70 km away from Port of Bourgas.
The facility has different training sectors and is highly appreciated by experts from NATO, and since 2004 it has become a favorite place for the annual training meetings of the American and Bulgarian armies.
Under an agreement of 2006 between the U.S. and Bulgaria, the U.S. Army made investments amounting to USD 61 million for the construction of new barracks and infrastructure for training of troops from the U.S. Army.
